“ We had a takeaway. Our meal was lovely and couldn't fault it at all, it was all extremely tasty. It is probably one of the tastiest meals I have had at an Indian restaurant. The Peshwari naan was a little dry but apart from that could not complain at all and will definitely return. The staff were lovely too and very helpful. ”
“ Good food a quiet atmosphere and a reasonable price we enjoyed it, I hope you will too. ”
“ Don’t listen to the negative comments. We are South Asian and I cook Indian dishes and have had Indian takeouts all over the uk. We almost didn’t go here because of the negative reviews but it was the only one open at 9pm. We were pleasantly surprised with service and the food. Chicken and lamb is halal, we called ahead to confirm and ordered takeout. Biriyani was delicious and it was one of the best Indian restaurants I’ve had on the NC500 route. Highly recommend, a good cheap dinner after a long day. ”
“ My wife and I are big fans of Indian cuisine, trying different restaurants wherever we visit and this has to be one of the best, I could mark down the review for forgetting the mango chutney on our takeaway order but the quality of the main dishes more than made up for that. We ordered two days in a row because we couldn't get enough. ”
“ As others have said, I think many of the reviews here are unnecessarily harsh. My partner and I both lived in Birmingham for 6 years, so have high standards for British Indian food, and enjoyed our meal here. It is cash only, but the Tesco just round the corner has an ATM we stopped at en route. Good food. Relaxed atmosphere. A little 'rustic' decor, but certainly doesn't detract from the dining experience. Give this place a try if you're in Ullapool. ”
“ The food was excellent. We were unsure if we should go to this place because of the reviews but decided to give it a try, and it was worth it. The food and their service was excellent. I would suggest giving it a try and not being disheartened by the reviews as they don’t necessarily reflect the true experience. ”
“ AMAZING FOOD! Don’t believe the negative reviews, honestly. My wife and I are Indian food fans and we were traveling through and gave it a shot despite the low score and reviews...and such GREAT FOOD and service! Yes, it’s cash only. No big deal since there is a cash machine close by. Lovely hostesses were attentive, kind, and helpful! I asked for a spicy curry that was not sweet. He presented me two recommendations and definitely had to get both! Wow, so good and spicy! We also got the poppadoms, boiled rice, garlic naan ( which was delicious, not dry at all like previous reviews ) and the royal chicken (spicy) and Lamb jalapani (real spicy). i feel like the best bet is asking for recommendations based upon what you are looking for. The staff is helpful and knowledgeable If we ever head back in the region we will definitely come by ”
“ Food well cooked and presented. Staff friendly and helpful. Just remember to BYOB and cash only ”
